One command uploads a file or a whole folder and prints a 6-digit code. Anyone can download it with the code or the link — no account, no browser.

How do I send a file from the terminal?
Install the Rapidfile CLI, then run rapidfile send ./file. You get a 6-digit code and a link that anyone can use to download, no account needed.
Does the Rapidfile CLI need an account?
No. Transfers up to 500 MB work without an account, just like the website. Files expire after 1 hour, 1 day or 3 days.
Which systems are supported?
macOS, Linux and Windows with Node.js 18 or newer. The CLI is a single dependency-free script.
Can I use it in scripts, CI or with AI agents?
Yes. Add --json to any command for machine-readable output. There is also an agent skill that teaches coding agents how to send and receive files safely.
Can I send a folder?
Yes. rapidfile send ./folder streams a ZIP while uploading, so nothing large is written to disk first.
Are there limits?
Up to 500 MB per transfer, about 10 new transfers per minute and 60 downloads per minute per network, plus daily fair-use quotas. These protect the free service from abuse.
